When I was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Leukemia in March 2020, just as the world was shutting down due to the pandemic, my hospital room became my world. It was sterile, intimidating, and far from the comfort of home.
One day, my uncle brought me a set of colorful, fun bedsheets. They were vibrant, filled with my favorite characters, and for the first time in days, I felt a spark of joy. Those sheets transformed my hospital bed into a haven, a place where I could find comfort amidst the chaos.
That simple gift inspired me to create Sawyer’s Wish™—a mission to bring that same comfort to other children facing hospital stays.
